Top Tips for Tweezing Eyebrows

Perfect time to tweez
Tweeze immediately after showering or apply a hot washcloth to loosen hair follicles.A washcloth is preferable because it naturally exfoliates the skin. To minimize the pain, numb the eyebrow area first either with a little ice,Anbesol, Orajel or any teething gel for babies.

Tweezing and Trimming to Shape a Perfect Brow

* Before you start tweezing, use a lip or brow pencil to heavily draw on the shape you want; you can adjust it with makeup remover as you decide on the shape you want to create.

* Once the shape is drawn on, tweeze any hairs that fall outside the line of the brow.

* Next, brush the brows straight up with an old toothbrush.

* Any hairs that are too long and floppy should be trimmed with small scissors. Tweezing long brow hairs rather than trimming them can result in gaps in the eyebrow or create a patchy appearance.

Shaping Your Eyebrows
*First thin the eyebrow, then slowly define the arch. The arch should reach the highest point above the middle of the iris.
*To determine where the eyebrows should begin and end, hold a pencil vertically against the nose. Where the pencil meets the eyebrow above the nose should be the starting point.
*Next, with the pencil still held against the nose, tilt it diagonally so that it rests against the far corner of the eye. That is the outer point where the eyebrow should end.

Best Brows
The best brows have a slight arch. To find yours, take a long eyeshadow brush or pencil and hold it parallel to the outside edge of the colored part of your eye (the iris). Where the brush meets the brow is where the highest part of your brow should be. Tweeze the hairs underneath the arch.

Finally
To close the pores of the skin after plucking, use an astringent or soothe irritated skin by applying warm petroleum jelly. If you have sparse brows, over plucked, or are growing out brows, filling them in, using eyebrow pencil, powder or mousse, will give you the look you want. Use the wrong products or technique and they will look painted on, instead of natural.
