Prof Miriam Ikejiani-Clark is dead. "A very wonderful woman and a renowned scholar and professor of Political Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She was the Dean of the School of General Studies and a former FCT Minister in the regime of Gen. Sani Abacha.
Unike many others, she returned to the classroom to teach after leaving the ministerial post.
Prof Miriam Ikejiani-Clark died yesterday at National Hospital Abuja after a futile fight with cancer.
Reacting to her demise, Peter Obi, Governor, Anambra State said: "The people of Anambra State and I are grief-stricken at the death of our illustrious daughter and sister, Prof Miriam Ikejiani-Clark. Her contributions to education and governance are not in doubt. While she was alive, she was our worthy Ambassador and she shall be missed by all, especially those of us in Anambra State. May God grant her soul eternal rest."
