Former Venezuelan beauty queen Eva Ekvall has died from breast cancer aged just 28.
The mother-of-one died on Saturday in a Houston, Texas hospital after a two year struggle with the disease.
She won the Miss Venezuela title in 2000 and was a third runner-up for Miss Universe in 2001.
The beauty queen appeared without makeup in her book Fuera de Foco (Out of Focus) released this year, which chronicled her fight with breast cancer for readers around the world.
