12 unidentified bodies dumped in Rivers community

Port Harcourt—Twelve unidentified corpses were, Thursday, dumped at Ula Ukata community in Ahoada Local Government Area of Rivers State, throwing the community into confusion.
Vanguard gathered that the bodies were strange faces, as no one or group had reported the loss of anyone within the council. The people said they were not also aware of any communal war in the area or neighbouring communities.
Police Spokesman, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulam, when contacted, said the police were still investigating the matter. Also, a resident of ‘D’ Line area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was killed, when suspected armed robbers blew up some shops in the area with dynamites. Police said the robbers carted away property worth hundreds of thousands of naira.
In another development, the Bonny Graduates Forum, BGF, an umbrella organisation of graduates from Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, has called on the abductors of the Secretary and Legal Adviser to the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Agency, TIMARIV, Mrs. Cleverline Brown, to release her unconditionally and unharmed.
President of the forum, Mr. Ipiriala Jumbo, called on the security agencies “to do all within their power to ensure that Brown, who was abducted three days ago close her house in Port Harcourt, was released.” He regretted that such incidents were still being perpetrated.
Jumbo said: “We take very strong exception to incidences of kidnap, armed robbery, vandalism and all other forms of criminality in the state. We condemn in strong terms any breach of security and return to the dark days of insecurity in Rivers State.”
